Heather Burnell

Heather Burnell has extensive work experience in the field of quality assurance and manufacturing. Heather most recently served as the Vice President of Quality Assurance at Excellos since June 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Director of Manufacturing at Abzena from February 2021 to June 2022. From November 2018 to February 2021, they worked as the Head of Quality, Gene Therapy Operations at MilliporeSigma. Heather also served as the Executive Director of Quality Assurance at ImmunoCellular Therapeutics Ltd from February 2016 to August 2017. In addition, they have volunteer experience at Moorpark Little League from January 2015 to May 2015. Heather's earlier career includes a long tenure at Amgen, Inc, where they worked as the Director of Quality from November 1992 to November 2014. Heather also has prior experience in QA at Genentech from May 1991 to October 1992.

Heather Burnell attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 1987 to 1990. During this period, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental and Systematic Biology.
