Sumona Mitra

Sumona Mitra is an experienced professional in the fields of bioinformatics and drug repurposing. Currently serving as the Head of Presales & Solutioning-R&D at Excelra since April 2020, Sumona has held various roles within the company, including Associate Director and Deputy General Manager, playing a key role in project management and execution of R&D initiatives. Prior to joining Excelra, Sumona worked as a Scientific Associate at GVK Biosciences, providing computational biology support, and as a Bioinformatician at the University of Hyderabad, focusing on tomato genomics research. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from King's College London and a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology from SRM University.
