Mazen Raafat

Mazen Raafat has worked in various roles in the software engineering industry since 2013. Mazen began their career as a Trainee at Telecom Egypt, InfoSEC, IBM, and Google/MCIT Mobile App Launchpad program. In 2014, they joined IBM as a Trainee. In 2015, they were an InnovEgypt Trainee at TIEC. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Software Engineer at Sumerge Software Solutions. In 2016, they joined SiliconExpert Technologies as a Software Engineer, where they were responsible for participating in the definition, design, and implementation of new applications, as well as enhancing large applications. From 2017 to 2021, they worked at Crossover for Work, first as a Software Engineer at Jive Software an Aurea Company, then as a Software Architect, and finally as a Chief Software Architect. In 2021, they joined Andela as a Technical Lead for Digifarm - Safaricom. Lastly, in 2022, they joined Exceptionly as a Senior Software Engineer, where they are revamping a monolithic system to microservices serverless using AWS Cloud Native and Serverless Framework.

Mazen Raafat obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Helwan University Cairo between 2011 and 2015. Mazen then completed a 9-Month Professional Diploma in Java from the Information Technology Institute (ITI) in 2016. In addition, they have multiple certifications from DataCamp and Udemy, including Data Manipulation with pandas, Introduction to Data Science in python, Joining Data with pandas, Python Data Science Toolbox (Part 1), Python Fundamentals, Intermediate Python, Introduction to Python, Node.js, Angular 4, and Android from Udacity and Google.
