Derek Meyer

Derek Meyer is currently working as a Pilot and Flight Instructor at Exec 1 Aviation since January 2022. Prior to this, Derek worked as a Flight Instructor at DES MOINES FLYING CLUB since July 2020. Derek has a diverse background including roles as Captain, Lieutenant, and Patrol Officer at the City of Windsor Heights, Iowa from March 2003 to April 2023. Before that, Derek was an Electrical Apprentice at Gritters Electric, Inc. from 2000 to March 2003. In the early years of their career, Derek served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1996 to 2000. Derek holds an Associate of Arts degree in Information Technology Networking from the University of Phoenix.
