Shawn Wang

Shawn Wang has a diverse range of work experience spanning various roles and industries. Shawn is currently the Founder of IntelliLead, a company they established in 2023. Additionally, in the same year, they became a Consultant CTO at ExecHQ®, where they bring business context to technology decisions and influences long-term technology strategy to meet business needs.

Prior to these roles, Shawn was the Founder of VEST AI, a position they held starting in February 2023. Shawn also served as the Chief Technology Officer at WIP Venture DAO from July 2022 to January 2023.

Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Shawn worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Software Development Engineer II from October 2021 to July 2022. Shawn designed and implemented distributed serverless software systems on the AWS platform. Shawn also held the position of Software Development Engineer I at AWS from October 2019 to September 2021, where they contributed to scaling cloud-based DBMS and launching Amazon Aurora Global Database.

Shawn's earlier experiences include working as a Software Developer in a contracting role from January 2019 to August 2019. Shawn was also a Hardware Design Engineer at INEO Solutions Inc. from May 2018 to December 2018, and a Data Engineer at Tantalus Systems from August 2017 to April 2018.

Before starting their professional career, Shawn worked as a Junior Hardware Engineer at Frontier Tech Institute of Engineer Design and Consulting in May 2015, ending their tenure in August of the same year.

Shawn Wang began their education at Semiahmoo Secondary from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained their International Baccalaureate Diploma. Subsequently, they attended Simon Fraser University from 2013 to 2019, majoring in Computer Engineering and earning a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree.
