Howard Matalon has over 30 years of experience in the legal industry. Howard began their career in 1991 as a B. Handler Clerkship for Justice. In 1992 they became a Litigation Associate at Lowenstein Sandler where they represented employers in environmental insurance coverage litigation. In 1994 they joined Latham & Watkins, LLP as a Senior Litigation Associate and gained extensive experience in professional licensing, proactive regulatory compliance, and crisis management. From 1999 to 2002 they were a Partner at Hale & Dorr, LLP / Buchanan Ingersoll, P.C. where they managed the Commercial Litigation Departments of Princeton office of firms, served as National Regulatory Counsel for Home Depot, and represented businesses in numerous labor and employment discrimination matters. From 2002 to 2006 they were a Partner at Jasinski, P.C., where they represented employers in employment litigation, developed employment handbooks and benefits policies, negotiated collective bargaining agreements, and created workforce management and training programs. From 2006 to 2009 they were a Partner at Stryker Tams & Dill, LLP, where they represented numerous employers in employment litigation, handled numerous Intellectual Property matters, and served as National Lead Counsel on Regulatory Matters for Home Depot. In 2009 they became an Equity Partner at OlenderFeldman LLP, where they served as Outside general counsel on all significant corporate legal matters, handled issues pertaining to venture capital and private equity financings, and was the Partner in charge of Employee and Labor Relations matters. In 2022 they joined ExecThread as an Executive Value Coach.

Howard Matalon earned a Bachelor of Arts in Latin & Philosophy from Brandeis University between 1984 and 1988. Howard then attended Boston University School of Law, where they obtained a Juris Doctor in Law between 1988 and 1991. In 2019, they obtained a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).
