Jed Katz

Managing Partner at ExecThread

Jed Katz is the managing partner at ExecThread, a position they have held since 2009. Prior to this, they were the managing director at Gotham Ventures from October 2005 to April 2009. Jed is currently on the boards of Thumbtack, SmartAsset, HighArc, and Linqia, and is a board observer for MasterClass, Homeward and Carbon Health.

Katz began their career as the chief operating officer at Yamcon from September 2003 to September 2005. At Yamcon, they were responsible for developing the business plan, raising the capital, forming a launch strategy, enticing all of their targeted retailers to desire to sell and promote The SkyScout, negotiating their licensing deal with their manufacturing and distribution partner Celestron, and generally advising on all strategic issues. The SkyScout was named one of the best inventions of the year by both Time Magazine and Popular Science Magazine (with full page coverage in both), and it won "Best of Innovations" at the 2006 Consumer Electronic Show.

Jed Katz studied business economics as an undergraduate at the University of California, Los Angeles, and then went on to earn their MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business with a focus in entrepreneurship and marketing.

Their manager is Joe Meyer, Founder & CEO. They work with Amy Vernetti - Director, Leadership Recruiting, Courtney Hagen - Chief Talent Officer.
