Jesse Wang

Jesse Wang is an accomplished pharmaceutical professional, currently serving as Executive Director of Drug Substances Manufacturing at Exelixis since November 2023. Prior to this role, Jesse spent over 13 years at Gilead Alberta, where responsibilities included overseeing commercial API manufacturing, process development, tech transfer, and regulatory support as Executive Director of Process Development/Manufacturing. Jesse's extensive experience also encompasses a decade at Apotex Pharmachem Inc., where expertise in building R&D centers and directing API R&D was demonstrated. Early career contributions include postdoctoral research at the University of Alberta and Colorado State University, focusing on advancements in synthetic methodologies. Jesse holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry from the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica and degrees in Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology.
