Derek Gannon has been working in the professional field since 1998. Derek began their career as a Sergeant in the Defence Forces of Ireland. In 2013, they joined the Irish Defence Forces Ordnance School as a Training Instructor. Most recently, in 2019, they were appointed as the Workshop Team Lead at Exergyn.
Derek Gannon attended Limerick Institute of Technology from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a FETAC Level 6 in Industrial Mechanics and Maintenance Technology. In 2013, they attended Institute of Technology, Carlow, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts - BA in management and Miltary Studies. In 2016, they attended Institute of Technology, Carlow for Autocad and Technological University Dublin for workshop safety Manager.
