Michael Sherman

Michael Sherman has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Michael is currently a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Oracle since 2019. Prior to that, they worked at EXFO as a Principal Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented network monitoring suits. Michael also worked at Crossbeam Systems, where they held various roles such as Principal Software Engineer, Project Technical Lead, and Section Manager. At Nortel Networks, they served as a Senior Software Engineer and significantly improved the performance and scalability of the DLSw protocol. Michael has also worked at Dr. T's Music Software, Inc., Resources Engineering Systems, Inc., AES Corporation, Boston University, and the Control Systems Research Laboratory.

Michael Sherman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Automatics and Telemechanics from the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, which they completed from 1984 to 1989. Michael later pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Information Theory from Boston University, which they completed from 1990 to 1993.
