Michel Leblanc has over three decades of experience in research and development within the optical and photonics industry. Currently, Michel serves as the R&D Director for Optical Instruments at EXFO, where responsibilities include defining product roadmaps and leading R&D teams to develop advanced products. Prior roles at EXFO include Systems Engineering and Research Manager, Business Unit Manager, and R&D Manager. Michel also worked at Ciena as an R&D Manager specializing in tests and measurements for high-speed photonics components. Previous positions include Lead of Optical Communication Technology at INO and Electro-Optic Engineer at Bell-Northern Research and EXFO. Michel holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics, both from Université Laval.
