Yanick Masse has had a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Yanick began their career as a Software Developer at Cybectec in 2000, where they worked as a student. Yanick then joined Matrox in 2001 as a Software Developer in the ActiveMIL/Imaging team, focusing on developing ActiveX controls and supporting low-level API functionalities.

In 2005, Yanick joined EXFO as an R&D Software Architect. During their time there, they contributed to the development of new embedded testing devices and introduced new technologies such as Node.js, JavaScript, and smart phone development. Yanick also provided guidance in various aspects of the development cycle, including version control system migrations, CI/CD improvements, and automated testing.

In 2016, Yanick took on a new role at EXFO as a Lead Software Architect, specializing in Big Data Framework/Xtract. In this position, they played a crucial role in migrating the company's Hadoop-based solution to a cloud-native environment, supporting multiple cloud platforms and orchestrating software across Kubernetes environments. Yanick was involved in all stages of the development process, from sales support to deployment and operation team training.

Most recently, Yanick has been appointed as the Lead Solution Architect in the Architecture Leadership Team at EXFO. Yanick'smain responsibility is leading the architecture for telco solutions focused on passive monitoring. Yanick provides orientation and training to multiple development teams across various areas, including system architecture, functional architecture, CI/CD, deployment, and customer support.

Throughout their career, Yanick has consistently demonstrated their technical expertise and ability to adapt to new technologies and environments.

Yanick Masse earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from École de technologie supérieure, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, they obtained a DEC en Informatique (Computer Science) from CEGEP de Trois-Rivieres, attending from 1994 to 1997.
