Gordon Lumsden

Gordon Lumsden is a seasoned Functional Safety Engineer with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving at exida since April 2023, Gordon previously held roles at GNL Engineering Pty Ltd as a Functional Safety and Maintenance and Reliability Specialist, as well as at BHP as a Functional Safety Specialist, where support was provided to improve Functional Safety Frameworks in Western Australian Iron Ore. Key contributions also include work with Bechtel National Inc and Plexal Group, focusing on validation and assurance for Integrated Control and Safety Systems. Prior to these roles, Gordon spent eight years at HIMA as a Functional Safety Consultant, where responsibilities encompassed safety culture development and conducting various safety assessments in compliance with industry standards. Gordon holds a degree in Aircraft Engineering with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering from Britains Air University in Perth, Scotland.
