Valentin Man

Valentin Man has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles.

Valentin started their career in 2002 at Finansbank as a Marketing and Sales clerk, where they focused on SME loans sales and analysis. Valentin then moved on to Romanian International Bank SA, where they worked as an Economist in both the Risk Management and Marketing and Sales departments, specializing in risks analysis, limits exposure administration, and SME products sales.

In 2005, Valentin joined Libra Internet Bank as the Operations Manager & Branch Manager, responsible for business development and coordinating branch sales and operation teams. Valentin later transitioned to the role of Retail Banking and Bancassurance Division Manager, where they oversaw retail sales and the development of retail banking products.

Valentin's next career move was to Romanian Counterguarantee Fund, where they held various positions. Valentin started as an Inspector, then became the Head of Underwriting Department, responsible for coordinating the underwriting team and developing software modules and procedures. Eventually, they became the Deputy Director, overseeing compliance, claim analysis, and monitoring activities.

Currently, Valentin works at EximBank as the Head of Risk Department in the State Funds Division. Valentin also previously held the position of Senior Credit Risk Analyst.

Valentin Man has a degree in Economics with a focus on Management from the Academia de Studii Economice din București, which they obtained from 1996 to 2000. Valentin then pursued further education at The Open University Business School, where they earned a Professional Certificate in Management from 2003 to 2005 and a Professional Diploma in Management from 2005 to 2006. Valentin also passed the CFA Level 1 exam in June 2014 at the CFA Institute, specializing in Financial Investment.
