The Board of Directors, in its meeting of 29th January 2020, has co-opted Mr. Wouter De Geest as independent director of the Company within the meaning of Corporate Governance Code, to fill the vacancy that had arisen following the passing away of Mrs. Kathleen Eisbrenner on 9th May 2019.
The appointment of Mr. De Geest will be submitted for approval to the General Meeting of Shareholders of EXMAR NV of Tuesday 19 May 2020.
Mr. De Geest is the chairman of VOKA and was the CEO of BASF Antwerp where he started his career in 1982; he retains his director's mandate on the Supervisory Board of BASF Antwerp.
