Integrator Success Director APAC at Exotec

Sylvain Sergent, PhD, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in different companies. Sylvain is currently working at Exotec as the Integrator Success Director APAC and was previously the Operation Project Manager at the same company. Prior to their time at Exotec, they served as the Head of Global Business Development at XTIA Ltd., where they offered 3D metrology and Industry 4.0 solutions for the manufacturing industry. Sylvain also held the role of Project Manager & Business Manager at XTIA Ltd. In addition, Sylvain worked at NTT as a Research Specialist, managing R&D projects in nanophotonics and nanostructure synthesis. Sylvain has also fulfilled the roles of Research Associate and Co-founder & President at NTT and EasyGaN respectively. Earlier in their career, Sylvain worked as a Project Researcher at the University of Tokyo, leading projects on spectroscopy, theoretical investigation of quantum dots, and the development of ultraviolet 1D nanophotonic structures. Sylvain was also a Research Assistant at CNRS-Crhea, where they developed epitaxial techniques and conducted spectroscopy of GaN-based semiconductor nanostructures. Sylvain's experience also includes a role as an Assistant Lecturer at Polytech'Nice-Sophia and they were a Vulcanus in Japan Fellow at the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation.

Sylvain Sergent, PhD, completed their education with a PhD in Physics from the Université Côte d'Azur, which they obtained between 2007 and 2010. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Research (MScRes) in Physics and Interfaces from INSA Rennes from 2005 to 2006 and an Engineer's degree in Materials and Nanotechnologies from INSA Rennes between 2001 and 2006. In addition to their academic achievements, Sylvain also obtained certifications in Project Management, including a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in November 2015, and a Certified Associate in Project Management certification from the same institution in June 2015.
