Chip Ressel has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and network engineering. Chip is currently working at Expel as a Principal Security Solutions Engineer, where they play a critical role in developing relationships with customers and ensuring their success with Expel products and services. Prior to this, they were a Principal Implementation Manager at Expel, responsible for capturing customer needs and charting the path forward for new customers.

Before joining Expel, Chip worked as a Senior Engagement Manager at Expel and as a Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst at McKesson. Chip also gained valuable experience at Global Payments as a Lead Threat Intelligence Analyst and Threat Analyst III.

Chip's career in the cybersecurity field started at Symantec, where they held roles such as Senior Security Analyst and Security Analyst. Chip also worked as an intern at Symantec, gaining practical experience in incident response and documentation creation. Additionally, Chip has experience in system administration from their time at PMI Industries and network engineering from their internship at PCC Structurals, Inc.

In addition to their industry experience, Chip has also served as an Adjunct Faculty at the Rochester Institute of Technology, sharing their knowledge and expertise with students.

Chip Ressel obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Information Security and Forensics from Rochester Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they attended Brandeis University from 2009 to 2010, but did not complete a degree or specify a field of study. Chip Ressel also holds additional certifications, including the GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) obtained in August 2016 and the GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) obtained in September 2014, both from GIAC Certifications.
