Emily Shorter

Emily Shorter has extensive work experience in marketing and leadership roles. Emily started their career as an Assistant Buyer at Hecht's in 2002. Emily then worked as a Marketing Manager at Current Analysis from 2004 to 2006 and later joined Axios Systems, Inc. as a Marketing Manager from 2006 to 2011.

In 2011, Emily joined MicroStrategy, where they held various positions, including Manager of Industry and Solutions Marketing, Senior Product Marketing Manager for Mobile, Director of Product Marketing for Mobile, Senior Director of Product Marketing, and Vice President of Product Marketing. Emily left MicroStrategy in 2020 after serving as the Vice President of Community from March to September and Vice President of Product Marketing from October 2018 to February 2020.

In 2020, Emily joined Optoro as the Vice President of Product Marketing from September 2020 to February 2021. Emily is currently working at Expel, where they hold the position of Vice President of Product Marketing since March 2021 and Vice President of Corporate Marketing since February 2022.

Emily Shorter earned a BBA in Marketing from William & Mary in 2001. Emily later obtained an MBA from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business between 2008 and 2011.
