Ed Plant

Ed Plant has worked in the software engineering industry for over 10 years. In 2010, they began working at Fidessa as a Trading Platform Delivery Engineer and later became the Trading Platform Delivery Team Lead. In 2016, they moved to FIS as a Consultant, but left shortly after due to the role not being a good fit. From 2017 to 2021, they worked at ION as the Platform Deployment, Development Team Leader, where they led a development automation team. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer at Expend, where they work with Python, AWS, Pulumi, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Drone.

Ed Plant obtained a Bachelor's degree in Politics from the University of Exeter between 2006 and 2009. Ed then went on to pursue a Master's degree in IT Consultancy from the University of Kent between 2009 and 2010. In July 2022, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
