Omoboye Olabode has a diverse range of work experience in the field of geoscience and cloud infrastructure engineering.

Starting in 2005 with Aspen Technology, they worked as a Geophysicist, delivering multiple projects in various locations for clients such as Chevron, Shell, ExxonMobil, and BP. During this time, they made significant contributions to 2D/3D velocity model building and pre-stack depth migration.

From 2008 to 2014, at the University of Houston, they served as a Research Assistant, conducting geoscience research and completing their MS and PhD degrees. They managed the processing and imaging of seismic data with precision and consistency, resulting in 10 publications.

At Shell, starting in 2014, Omoboye worked as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, leading the transition and migration of geoscience workflows and applications to the cloud. They also played a key role in developing and supporting Shell's proprietary software and achieved a 40% reduction in external software purchases by implementing new in-house software.

Currently, they are working at Experfy as a Solutions Architect. In this role, they oversee transmission protection requirements, support Enterprise Data Warehouse hosting on the AWS cloud, and facilitate the migration of applications and services onto the AWS platform.

Omoboye Olabode completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree at the Federal University of Technology Akure in 2004. They went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in Geophysics and Seismology at the University of Houston, completing it in 2010. Omoboye then continued their education at the University of Houston and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Geophysics and Seismology in 2014. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in June 2022. They also obtained the Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin, Splunk Core Certified Power User, and the Google Cloud Certified Associate Cloud Engineer certifications in May and June 2023.
