David Rudel

David Rudel has extensive work experience in data science and analytics. David is currently serving as the Head of Data and Analytics at ExploreLearning since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Human Interest as a Lead Data Scientist from September 2021 to May 2023. In this role, they engineered probabilistic and machine learning models to predict compliance risk and client churn, respectively. David also created a python library to combat overfitting when working with small datasets.

Before joining Human Interest, David worked at ExploreLearning in various roles. From August 2021 to September 2021, they were the Senior Director of Data Science. David managed a cross-functional team and was responsible for analytics and adaptive game AI. David also worked as a Senior Principal Data Scientist from July 2016 to August 2021, where they were involved in architecting the adaptive logic framework and developing logistic regression models. Prior to this, they were the Data Analytics Manager from June 2014 to July 2016, leading the analytics-driven evolution of adaptive AI for Reflex. David also worked as a Senior Data Analyst and Senior Editor during their tenure at ExploreLearning.

David has also worked at Cognaisent Inc. as the Chief Architect from January 2018 to August 2021 and at Academic Benchmarks as an Artificial Intelligence Architect and Engineer from February 2008 to June 2019.

David Rudel received their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Ethics from Harvey Mudd College from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, they attended Grinnell College from 1995 to 1997, where they studied Mathematics, Physics, and Philosophy. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Mathematics at Dartmouth College from 1999 to 2005.
