Alex Miltenberger is the Co-Founder and CEO of ExploreTech, a company focused on helping users find minerals faster. They earned a PhD in Geophysics from Stanford University in 2022, after serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at Stanford (2017–2022) and as a DOE SCGSR Fellow at Berkeley Lab (2021–2022). Their research included probabilistic methods for geophysical inversion, hypothesis testing, and developing a framework for using AI to solve Bayesian inverse problems, and they published four peer-reviewed journal articles (with two additional works under review). They worked as a Computational Geoscientist at Rio Tinto (2022–2023) and as a Nondestructive Testing Engineer Intern at NDT Corporation (2017), and gained early research experience at Michigan Technological University as a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant (2016–2017).
