Dave Lu

Co-Founder & President at Expo

Dave Lu has held a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2003. Dave began their career as a Product Marketing Manager (MBA Intern) at Apple, followed by a Senior Manager, Product Strategy role at eBay. In 2004, they moved to Cisco to become a Product Marketing Manager (Pure Digital Technologies) before founding Fanpop in 2006, where they served as CEO and Founder. In 2015, they joined Luxe as VP of Marketing and co-founded Expo as President. In 2021, they became a Member of YPO and Co-Organizer of Stand with Asian Americans, writing a letter denouncing Asian American hate crimes and committing to raise $10M to support non-profits fighting discrimination against AAPIs. In 2020, they founded Hyphen Capital, investing in the next generation of Asian American founders, and in 2022 they joined the Advisory Board Member of the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center.

Dave Lu received their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and their Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Strategic Management from The Wharton School.
