Associate

Adyota Gupta, Ph.D., has extensive research experience spanning multiple prestigious institutions. At Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Adyota conducted simulations on graphene properties and developed machine learning techniques for material failure detection. A stint as a Research Intern at SRI International led to the creation of an innovative clamping mechanism and flexible armor. Adyota further contributed to military applications while at Naval Air Systems Command and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, focusing on mechanical testing and additive manufacturing methods. Subsequent roles included a position as a Materials Engineer at Chevron and a Graduate Student Researcher at the Air Force Research Laboratory, where critical research on detonations in explosives was undertaken. Currently serving as an Associate at Exponent, Adyota continues to build upon a strong educational foundation, holding a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, along with a Master’s degree in the same field and a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from UC Berkeley.
