Andrew Worthen began their work experience in 2008 as an Environmental Co-op at Marathon Petroleum Company. Andrew then worked as a Technical Services Co-op at the same company in 2010. In 2009, they became an Undergraduate Research Assistant at The University of Toledo, where they conducted research on surfactant/biopolymer conjugates to create stable nanostructured materials. From 2011 to 2015, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Texas at Austin, under the guidance of Professor Keith P. Johnston, Ph.D. In 2016, Andrew joined Exponent as an Associate and later progressed to become a Senior Associate in 2017, a Senior Engineer in 2018, and ultimately a Managing Engineer in March 2021. At Exponent, they specialize in Polymer Science and Materials Chemistry Practice, conducting evaluations of various products and processes related to different industries.
