Brenton Cox is a chemical engineer with expertise in process safety, risk management, and incident investigation. Currently a Principal Engineer at Exponent, Brenton focuses on the analysis and prevention of incidents involving fires, explosions, and chemical releases, offering strategic consulting across various industries. Brenton previously completed a PhD in Chemical Engineering at Cornell University, where research involved the dynamics of planar-flow melt spinning. Brenton has contributed to the field as chair of the Process Safety Management Mentoring Forum and as a co-author for a chapter on Risk Assessment in a leading publication on chemical process safety.
