Managing Scientist at Exponent

Catherine Rogers Murray has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Catherine is currently employed as a Managing Scientist at Exponent since 2022. Prior to this, Catherine worked at the Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute from 2013 to 2021, where they held the position of Senior Project Manager. In this role, they managed complex medical product safety surveillance projects for the FDA's Sentinel Initiative, oversaw the maintenance and enhancements of Sentinel's website, and supervised project staff. Before that, Catherine worked as a Contractor at PRIM&R from 2012 to 2014, where they also served as the Marketing and Communication Design Manager from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, they gained experience as a Copy Editor at Taunton Daily Gazette in 2006, as a News Staff Coordinator at New England Press Association Bulletin from 2005 to 2006, and as the Editor in Chief at The Skidmore News from 2002 to 2004.

Catherine Rogers Murray's education history includes a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology from Brown University, which was obtained from 2012 to 2014. Catherine also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Language and Literature, General from Skidmore College, which they completed from 2001 to 2005.

In terms of additional certifications, Catherine obtained an Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification from the American Red Cross in February 2019. Catherine also holds a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification from the Scrum Alliance, obtained in July 2018. In August 2016, they obtained an Adult Child and Infant CPR and AED certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association. Catherine has also received certifications in Mediation and Conflict Management from The Program on Negotiation in May 2016, and in 36-hour Facilitative Mediation Training from the Community Mediation Center of RI (CMCRI) in January 2013. In November 2012, they obtained a Certification for Research in Human Subjects from the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI).
