Daniel Shuler, CISSP, PMP has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and cyber assurance. Daniel currently holds the position of CISO and Director of Information Security at Exponent since October 2019. Prior to this, they served as an Adjunct Faculty at Estrella Mountain Community College, where they played a crucial role in developing the Cyber Security curriculum. From March 2016 to October 2019, they were the CISO and Director of IT Security at Phoenix Children's Hospital. Before that, they served as the Director of Cyber Assurance at Maricopa County from November 2014 to March 2016. Daniel also gained valuable experience as a Principal Security Consultant at Leidos (formerly SAIC) from January 2011 to November 2014. Daniel started their career at Salt River Project, where they worked as a Senior Security Analyst for over a decade, from June 2000 to February 2011.
Daniel Shuler, CISSP, PMP completed their Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology at Western International University from 2002 to 2005. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications including ITIL v3 Foundation from AXELOS Global Best Practice in January 2016, PMP from Project Management Institute in June 2014, CISSP from International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) in October 2012, and GSEC from SANS Institute in May 2010. These certifications highlight their specialized expertise and commitment to continuous professional development in the field of Information Technology and Project Management.
