Jason James

Senior Environmental Scientist at Exponent

Jason James has extensive work experience in the field of environmental science. Jason started their career as a Student at Oberlin College from August 2008 to May 2012. Jason then joined the University of Washington in September 2012 as a PhD Student, Instructor, and Teaching Assistant. During this time, they taught various environmental science courses and conducted research on the biogeochemistry of deep forest soil horizons. Jason held multiple roles at the University of Washington until December 2018. In January 2019, they joined Exponent as a Senior Environmental Scientist, where they currently work.

Jason James has a strong educational background in the field of environmental studies and biogeochemistry. Jason obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Environmental Studies & Creative Writing from Oberlin College from 2008 to 2012. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Soil Ecology from the University of Washington School of Environmental and Forest Sciences from 2012 to 2014. Jason continued their academic journey at the University of Washington, where they achieved a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biogeochemistry from 2014 to 2018.
