Laura Lilly, PhD, is an ocean-climate scientist and ecological consultant currently working as a Senior Scientist at Exponent, where they provide scientific analysis for businesses navigating environmental regulations and litigation. Laura holds a PhD in Biological Oceanography from UC San Diego Scripps and completed both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Earth Systems at Stanford University. Previously, they have contributed to various roles, including a Fulbright Futures Postdoctoral Fellow researching zooplankton species and a California Sea Grant State Fellow working on coastal policy. Passionate about sustainability, Laura co-founded the Scripps Sustainability Group and has a diverse set of interests that includes surfing and rock climbing.
