Liyu W.

Liyu W. has extensive experience in research and engineering. They currently work as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Exponent since January 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Researcher at Runway Innovation Hub from February 2020 to August 2021. In this role, Liyu was involved in various tasks such as dealing with early-stage startups for an asset management investor, providing innovation management consulting for EPSON and NS Solutions, scouting startups for global companies, delivering presentations, leading data analytics projects, and publishing research reports and business articles. They were also recognized as a finalist for an international award and obtained positive testimonials from clients.

Before joining Runway Innovation Hub, Liyu worked as a Research Scientist at UC Berkeley from April 2015 to February 2019. They also served as a Research Fellow at Siemens from December 2016 to November 2017 and as a Research Assistant at ETH Zurich from November 2009 to January 2015.

Liyu W. has an extensive education background in engineering and technology. They began their education journey in 2002 at Zhejiang University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Engineering in 2006.
