Melissa J. Evans, PhD, is a human factors scientist specializing in human cognition, memory, and language. Currently working as a consultant with Exponent, they provide insights related to vehicle collisions and warning compliance. Melissa has held positions as a human factors researcher at North Carolina State University and as a graduate researcher at Vanderbilt University. Additionally, they served as a tutor at the Speaker's Lab at Butler University, where they helped students enhance their presentation skills, and participated in the Butler Summer Institute as a research scholar, focusing on the effects of alcohol and caffeine in a mouse model.
