Ming Yin has extensive work experience in engineering and research. They started their career as a research assistant at Central South University in 2009 and worked there until 2011. They then joined the Illinois Institute of Technology as a research assistant and later became a postdoctoral research associate until 2016.
In 2016, Ming Yin worked as an OPT Student-Operation Engineer at Dicastal North America and then moved to CITIC Dicastal where they served as a Process Engineer from 2016 to 2018.
Since 2018, Ming Yin has been with Exponent, where they initially worked as an Engineer and focused on areas such as thermodynamic analysis, metallurgy, material characterization, and failure analysis. They then advanced to the position of Senior Engineer and are currently holding the role of Managing Engineer. At Exponent, their work mainly involves failure analysis of metal and glass, contamination analysis, and corrosion of materials used in consumer electronics, among other responsibilities.
From 2011 to 2015, Ming Yin attended the Illinois Institute of Technology and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Materials Science.
