Nate Velez

Dr. Nate Velez is a Managing Engineer specializing in materials science and electrochemistry. They leverage advanced materials characterization techniques to investigate material failures, perform root cause analysis, and assist in design validation. Dr. Velez has extensive experience with nanoindentation, scanning electron microscopy, and various advanced testing methods, applied across the consumer electronics industry and polymer thin films. Previously, they served as a deficiency analyst and avionics specialist in the United States Air Force, and held various roles at Exponent and Berkeley Lab. Dr. Velez holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
