Nicole Vanagas

Nicole Vanagas, Ph.D., is a Managing Scientist at Exponent, where they support the assessment and evaluation of secure identity documents, focusing on the development of quality assurance programs. Previously, they served as a Scientist and Senior Scientist at Exponent and conducted research as a Chemistry Doctoral Candidate at Georgetown University from 2014 to 2020. Nicole has experience in security document manufacturing and has successfully managed interdisciplinary projects with substantial budgets exceeding $3 million. They have also held various teaching and leadership roles, including President of the Graduate Student Organization of Chemistry at Georgetown University and a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Nicole earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Mount St. Mary's University, followed by a Master's degree and a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Georgetown University.
