Sarah Eom is an experienced AR/VR and biomedical engineering consultant currently working at Exponent. Previously, Sarah served as an ORISE Fellow in the Medical Extended Reality Program at the FDA, where they developed a framework for evaluating medical XR devices. Sarah has also contributed as a Graduate Research Assistant at Duke University, focusing on AR guidance systems for surgery and virtual simulations for ophthalmic procedures. Sarah holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Duke University, as well as a Master's and Bachelor's degree from Purdue University in Engineering Technology and Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology, respectively.
