Sean Ryan

Sean Ryan has extensive work experience in the field of scientific research. Sean is currently employed at Exponent, where they started in 2019. Sean has held multiple roles at Exponent, including Managing Scientist since April 2022, Senior Scientist from March 2021 to April 2022, and Scientist from July 2019 to March 2021.

Prior to joining Exponent, Sean worked as a Citizen Science Fellow at North Carolina State University from August 2017 to July 2019. Sean also served as a USDA-NIFA Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville from August 2017 to July 2019.

Sean Ryan received their Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation Biology with an emphasis in Entomology from San Jose State University in 2007. Sean then pursued a Master of Science degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Bowling Green State University, completing it in 2010. Finally, Sean went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Notre Dame in 2015.
