Peter Buchanan

Peter Buchanan has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Peter started their career as an Assistant Manager and Supervisor at Blacks Leisure Group in 2002, where they handled various responsibilities such as stock control and cash-flow management. In 2004, they joined Bulldog Communications / Cable & Wireless Access as a NOC Engineer, dealing with operational issues. From 2006 to 2017, Peter worked at Alternative Networks (now part of Daisy Group) as a Senior Engineer, providing technical support for voice and data products and building relationships with clients. In 2017, they joined Daisy Group as a 2nd Line Engineer and later moved to Exponential-e. At Exponential-e, Peter served as a NOC - 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer, a Team Lead, and currently, they are the Head of 3rd Line Network Support.

Peter Buchanan attended The London Nautical School from 1996 to 2001. During this time, they did not earn a degree or specialize in any field of study. In 2001, they transferred to the London Nautical School and spent a year there, where they obtained their GCSE and AS Levels.

Alongside their education, Peter has obtained several certifications in the field of IT and networking. In 2016, they became a Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician, followed by earning the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching certification in the same year. In 2018, they received the CMNO certification from Cisco Meraki. Later in 2019, they completed the course on Implementing Cisco IP Switched Networks. Continuing their professional development, Peter obtained the LogicMonitor Certified Associate certification from LogicMonitor in 2020. In 2021, they received the Citrix SD-WAN Certified (CC-SDWAN) certification from Citrix and the Cradlepoint Certified Network Associate certification from Cradlepoint. Peter'smost recent certification is the ITIL Foundation Level from AXELOS Global Best Practice, which they obtained in October 2022.
