Alonso Gartner

Alonso Gartner, MBA, is a seasoned Principal Risk Analyst at Export Development Canada, with an extensive career beginning in 2006. In this role, Alonso has effectively monitored diverse portfolios, including over 100 financial institutions globally with a focus on regions such as Brazil, China, and India, as well as about 100 companies in the transportation sector, particularly automotive OEMs and their tier one suppliers. Previous experience includes analyzing portfolios of over 180 companies in Latin America within the newspaper and pulp & paper industries, and monitoring 150+ companies primarily in Europe. Prior to Export Development Canada, Alonso worked as an Ejecutivo de Negocios at Interbank from 1996 to 1999. Alonso holds an MBA in Finance from the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
