Jay Albers

Jay Albers currently serves as the Global Trade Director for Agri-Food at Export Development Canada since August 2023. Prior to this role, Jay held positions at Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership, including Senior Trade Specialist and Trade Specialist from November 2019 to August 2023. Jay's experience also encompasses working as a Grain Merchant at GrainCorp and as a Grain Sales & Marketing Specialist at Farmer Direct Co-op. Earlier in the career, Jay was involved as a Grain Buyer at Adroit Overseas Pte Ltd, where responsibilities included procuring grain supplies and negotiating contracts. An internship at MGI Securities included economic analysis of commodity cycles and research into economic trends, contributing to investment support. Jay holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics from the University of Saskatchewan, earned between 2011 and 2015.
