Jonathan Kaida

Jonathan Kaida serves as the Director of Global Trade - Cleantech at Export Development Canada since May 2022, where expertise in CCUS, AgTech, Biofuels, and decarbonization has led to strong partnerships with Canadian mid-market and cleantech companies. Previously, as Western Canada Lead for Sustainable Development Technology Canada from April 2020 to May 2022, Jonathan coordinated funding for cleantech initiatives and provided advisory on environmental policy. A background in business development includes roles as Business Development Manager at KANATA Energy Group Ltd., where project origination resulted in over $150 million in deals, and Senior Business Development Rep at ATCO Midstream, focusing on renewable energy opportunities. Early career experiences include engineering and research positions, complemented by an MBA in Sustainability and Business from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
