Scott Powell

Scott Powell has extensive experience in finance and operational management, currently serving as the Director of the Knowledge Business Team and previously as the Director of Operational Excellence at Export Development Canada (EDC) since March 2001. In these roles, Scott led teams focused on developing Lean process and management capabilities and overseeing continuous improvement in Loans Services, which manages $35 billion in loan assets. Earlier positions at EDC include Acting Director of Loans Services and Senior Portfolio Manager in Treasury, where responsibilities included managing various investment portfolios and providing oversight for external money managers. Prior to EDC, Scott worked as an Equity Analyst at Queensway Investment Counsel and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Ottawa, a Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Carleton University.
