Austin Shearin

Austin Shearin is an accomplished data science professional with a robust background in materials science and engineering. Currently serving as a Data Science Manager at Expression since October 2023, Austin leads a diverse team, fostering innovation and overseeing multiple projects aligned with business objectives. Prior experience includes the role of Director of Data Science at SynTouch, Inc., where Austin managed research on haptic perception and developed predictive models. Earlier positions at Brewer Science involved substantial leadership and technical roles, contributing to IoT sensing systems and flexible hybrid electronics. Austin also has academic experience as an instructor and gained research expertise through collaboration with institutions such as Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
