We would like to inform you that Express Insurance Limited has been established with an Authorized Capital of Tk. 75.00 Crore and having been incorporated as a public limited company under the Companies Act, 1994, it has joined the fraternity of insurance in Bangladesh to transact all classes of general insurance business i.e. Fire, Marine Cargo, Marine Hull, Motor, Engineering, Miscellaneous, Burglary, Cash in Safe, Cash in Transit, Cash on Counter, Fidelity Guaranty, Workmen’s Compensation etc. since May 18, 2000. Our branches have been operating in all commercially important areas of the Country including Dhaka and Chittagong Zone.
The Sponsor-Directors of the Company are well-known Industrialists and Businessmen of the country who have established this organization with a view to serve the insured Community. We have a Reinsurance Agreement with the Shadharan Bima Corporation with favorable terms and conditions including facultative arrangement. Hence, we are capable enough to accept the risk and underwrite general insurance business for any amount which shall be either protected automatically or will be covered under the Facultative Reinsurance arrangement and we are also doing co-insurance business with Shadharan Bima Corporation.
