Geoff Maynard

Geoff Maynard is the Editor in Chief at the Daily Express, where they have served as news editor since 2006 and have been on the newsdesk since 2000. They began their journalism career as a news and sports reporter at the Cynon Valley Leader from 1994 to 1995, followed by roles at the Waltham Forest Guardian and Kent Today. Prior to joining the Daily Express, Geoff was the chief reporter at the West Essex Gazette from 1997 to 1998. They hold a BA in Joint Honours in History and Archaeology from the University of Durham, and an NCTJ journalism qualification from Darlington College of Technology Journalism School.
