Mary Johannesson

Mary Johannesson is a Certified Agile Leader with extensive work experience in the group life and health insurance industry. Mary began their career at Aetna Canada in 1986, where they held various positions and gained expertise in different aspects of the industry. After the purchase of Aetna Canada by Maritime Life in 1999, Mary was involved in business process review for the integration plan. In 2001, they joined Express Scripts Canada and took on roles such as Director of Sales & Marketing and Formularies & Programs. From 2010 onwards, Mary served as the Sr. Director of Operations and Customer Services - Public Sector. Mary'sresponsibilities included managing operations, identifying and implementing process improvements, and leading change initiatives. Throughout their career, Mary has demonstrated strong leadership, collaboration, and analytical skills.

Mary Johannesson, Certified Agile Leader, completed their high school education at St. Mildred's Lightbourn School from 1974 to 1981. Mary then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Honours Recreation from the University of Waterloo from 1981 to 1985. Additionally, Mary has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including the Certified Agile Leadership 1 from Scrum Alliance in 2018, Lean 6 Sigma Leadership Training from Express Scripts Canada in 2011, and The Executive Program in Sales Management from Schulich School of Business - York University in 2005. Mary also holds certifications in Negotiating for Success in Business, Marketing Management, and Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) from reputable institutions.
