Gavin Wright

Gavin Wright is a biochemist passionate about the molecular basis of cellular recognition and its applications in disease prevention and treatment. They graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in Biochemistry in 1996 and completed a D.Phil. in Molecular Immunology at the same institution. Over their career, Gavin served as a Group Leader at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute for two decades, contributed to Cancer Research UK as a Postdoctoral Researcher, and is currently a Professor of Microbial Biochemistry at the University of York. Additionally, they serve on the Scientific Advisory Board for ExpressionEdits, continuing their commitment to advancing research in cellular interactions and signaling.
