Simon Roberts

Simon Roberts has extensive experience in engineering analysis and evaluation, currently serving as Technical Authority at Expro since January 2010, where responsibilities include writing guidance documents, reviewing finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) work, and developing scripts for Ansys and Abaqus. In previous roles at Expro, Simon was Engineering Team Leader, overseeing a team of engineers and managing resource allocation for subsea equipment qualification projects, and served as Lead Analyst for a new landing string assembly. Prior to Expro, Simon was Senior Research Scientist at the National Physical Laboratory, leading projects focused on thermodynamic and transport modeling, as well as materials modeling strategies. Simon holds a Ph.D. in Engineering, an M.Sc. in Engineering Mathematics, and a B.Sc. in Mathematics, all from Newcastle University.
