A passion for learning and teaching languages led Haley to Mexico where she taught ESL and discovered the excitement and fun of language learning. That experience led her to a dual language position in Texas where she taught students in K-12 and was instrumental in increasing the AP Spanish program for middle school students. Her passion for personal and professional growth resulted in a master's degree in instructional leadership which coupled with her teaching experience, paved the way to becoming a World Languages Instructional Coach. As an instructional coach, she had the privilege of working with LOTE and ESL teachers. Empowering and equipping teachers led her to her position as Multilingual Support Consultant at the regional level, where she shared and learned from many incredible leaders. As a consultant, she was able to support, train, and develop teachers to advocate for their diverse multilingual learners. Haley is excited to continue her language proficiency work with Extempore and share all it has to offer with teachers and students. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outside and finding new adventures with her husband and son.
