Shane Wright

Shane Wright has a wide range of work experience, beginning in 2010 when they were a "Glorified Snowboard Bum" for Nitro Snowboards. In 2012, they co-founded Underdawgs Productions LLC, a snowboard movie company that produced two full-length snowboard films, and many short length online snowboard videos and social media content. Shane also helped create distribution channels for DVD production and sales, which led to outselling industry standards. In 2016, Shane began working for Farmers Insurance as a Financial Services Representative, where they used their Series 6 and 63 financial license to sell mutual fund and life insurance products to new and existing clients. Shane exceeded sales targets every month and their yearly sales target by 25%. In 2017, Shane held two positions simultaneously: Co-President of the Berkeley Energy & Resources Collaborative (BERC) and Project Manager at THIMBY. At BERC, they increased membership from under 10 to over 100 and started a Mentorship program with more than 30 students being currently matched with grad students. At THIMBY, they built partnerships with City of Richmond and local Non-profit Greater Richmond Interfaith Program to create a sustainable program that builds housing for the homeless, recruited executive team, and managed design, construction, and marketing teams. Shane also directed a Crowdfunding campaign that led to over 18,000 in donations within 1 month for their first project. Currently, Shane is the Business Partnerships Manager at Extensible Energy, where they help commercial solar professionals land more projects by integrating their demand charge management software. Shane makes sure every step of the commercial sales cycle is seem-less, and each solar project they work on together is a win/win/win for the partner, the end customer, and the environment.

Shane Wright attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Economics and Policy. Shane then attended Cabrillo College from 2015 to 2017.
